Where to Go Sledding in Summit County

Dillon Nature Preserve – Dillon

Steep sledding hill with stunning views. Located near Dillon Reservoir on the road towards Keystone. Find the pullout after the Dillon Reservoir and before the Swan Mountain intersection.

Frisco Adventure Park – Frisco

Free sledding hill near the tubing park. Rent sleds at Pioneer Sports. Park at Frisco Nordic Center, follow “walkway to sledding hill” sign. Behind white trailer, marked by red flag.

Rainbow Park – Silverthorne

Great sledding hill with a long ride and a playground nearby. Located in the heart of Silverthorne right next to the rec center, it is one of the more accessible spots to sled in the area.

Runway Sledding Hill – Breckenridge

The Runway Sledding Hill in Breckenridge is near the free parking lot on Airport Road. The hill is regularly groomed, and there are porta-potties on-site. Parking is plentiful, and there are many great restaurant nearby.

Carter Park – Breckenridge

Located just a few blocks east of Breck’s Main Street. Features a wide, walk-up hill with just the right amount of steepness. This spot does tend to get crowded later in the day and parking is limited so get there early if you want to park nearby.
