The front side of the mountain has terrain for everyone, including varied steepness for beginner runs. It is the the back bowls of Vail that deservedly get all the attention. They defy conventional explanation and until you view them in person, you may not realize just how big they truly are. By compairison Killington, a large and premier resort on the east coast, is ony a third the size of the bowls at Vail. Vail offers three terrain parks to help advance everyone’s abilities. Finish Flight School then graduate from Aviator to Fly Zone. Enjoy a 450′ Superpipe, kink and straight rails, boxes (C box), 24′ disco box, a battleship, water tank jib, and the new wall ride. Step down jumps of 30′, 40′ and 50′ are near the new Superdome. Below the Superpipe are small to medium jumps great for practicing tricks, a line of box top rails and short steel rails and a 13′ mini pipe.
