Never a harsh word was spoken about Beaver Creek. This hidden gem of a resort offers hassle free parking, escalators to take you to the lifts, dreamy terrain and sometimes, free, warm cookies in the lift line. You can't park anywhere near the resort if you are only there for the day but the free parking lot has a free shuttle that takes you up the canyon to the lift area. From there, great pleasures await, like the steep and challenging Birds of Prey lift and run that was the sight of the 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships and annual World Cup event, Grouse Mountain and the Royal Elk glades for pockets of powder through groves of trees, or the manicured slopes of Bachelor Gulch.
