Breckenridge Bike Rentals

You can't beat Breckenridge for good eats, shopping, and western history!

Breckenridge Bike Rentals The paved 9.5 mile Blue River Bikeway takes riders eastbound from Frisco to Breckenridge on a leisurely hour-and-half round-trip cruise. The Bikeway follows the river through lodgepole pines and meadows and takes in outstanding views of the Tenmile Mountain Range. Named for the fact that there are 10 peaks in 10 miles, the last 4 make up Breckenridge's ski resort. Breckenridge was named by USA Today as one of the country's top ten places to take a bike ride with children.

150 years ago, Breck's earliest settlers came searching for gold and the town became one of Colorado's most important mining areas. The Country Boy Mine tour is recommended by the New York Times as a "must see" and is certainly one of the area's most popular tours.

Go at your own pace through Breck's one-of-a-kind downtown and historic district. Self-guided tour brochures are available free at the Town Hall and Activities centers. As one would imagine, museums are plentiful in Colorado's largest historic district. The Main Street Historical Museum is its newest, open every day for free.

If a walk through history is not in your plans, Breckenridge is filled with trendy boutiques, shops, outdoor restaurants cool bistros for bicycle break time or relaxation. Tired cyclists can board the frequently-running Summit Stage bus at the county commons building for a ride back to Frisco.

Whether on fat tires or thin, single-track, paved trail or anything in-between, renting a bike and pedaling about in the towns and resorts of Summit County is hard to beat.
